Early Life & Education

Oz has called Orange County home for most of his life. He earned his law degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles in 2005, where he was an active member of the Moot Court Honors Program.

Before pursuing law, Oz attended California Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Real Estate, and Law. His background in finance and real estate gives him a unique perspective when handling cases involving economic damages, insurance claims, and settlement negotiations.

Oz was admitted to the California Bar in 2005 and has been practicing law for nearly two decades. Before joining Cohn & Swartzon LLP in 2021, he spent almost a decade as a litigator at Murtaugh Meyer Nelson & Treglia LLP (now Murtaugh Treglia Stern & Deily LLP). During this time, he gained extensive experience in all phases of litigation, honing his skills in case strategy, negotiation, motion practice, and trial advocacy.

While defending individuals and businesses in personal injury and wrongful death cases, Oz developed a comprehensive understanding of how the defense side approaches litigation. This unique insight now allows him to anticipate defense strategies and build stronger, more effective cases for injury victims seeking justice.

Since transitioning to plaintiff representation at Cohn & Swartzon LLP, Oz has leveraged his litigation background to fight for maximum compensation for his clients, helping them rebuild their lives after serious accidents.

Referral came from my insurance agent who has known Saar for years. Communication with Saar and his team was timely.  Expectations and fees were clearly stated.  The negligent driver's insurance company proposed an unsatisfactory (tiny) settlement for pain and suffering.  Saar took various actions and raised the settlement so my portion was 10x the original proposal, after his fees.  I was pleased with the outcome.
